Join us for a vibrant Sunday afternoon of world-class jazz at the Central Jersey Jazz Festival, wrapping up the weekend in downtown Somerville on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the Somerset County Courthouse Green (corner of East Main & Grove Streets). This free, rain‑or‑shine outdoor festival invites you to bring a blanket or lawn chair—and soak in soulful jazz in the heart of Somerville’s scenic courthouse green. Enjoy musicians and art vendors, coming together over a shared love of the arts. Come for the music, stay for the community—discover local restaurants, shops, and great vibes in charming downtown Somerville. It’s the perfect way to cap off your weekend with culture, connection, and great jazz.

1:30-2:40 PM: Greg Murphy “The Fusicians”

Greg Murphy (piano and keys,) (Mark Whitfield-guitar,) Obasi Akoto (bass,) Steve Johns (drums.) Pianist for jazz icons like Carlos Santana and Rashied Ali, Greg Murphy leads a dynamic supergroup delivering globe-trotting grooves and chart-topping energy.

 3:00-4:10 PM: Abena Koonson-Davis Quintet featuring Steve Davis

Broadway star of FELA! and collaborator of Stevie Wonder and Natalie Merchant, Abena joins Grammy-winning trombonist Steve Davis (Chick Corea, The Tonight Show) for a soul-stirring set.

4:30-5:45 PM: Jon Faddis Quintet

Mentored by Dizzy Gillespie and Grammy-nominated trumpet legend Jon Faddis headlines with a blazing quartet of rising stars—don’t miss this jazz royalty in action!

2:30-3:45 PM: Kahlil Kwame Bell and Friends

Percussionist to Prince, Erykah Badu, and Roberta Flack, Kahlil Kwame Bell brings a Grammy-nominated, genre-defying performance that echoes across jazz, hip hop, and world music.

4:15-5:30 PM: Dom Palombi’s Game Night

From Twitch to the stage, Somerville-raised Dom Palombi channels his viral video game band into a funk-fusion spectacle—featuring top players from the Video Game Music scene.
